Another event in the series “Translating Europe Workshop”, organized by the European Commission, took place in Warsaw on 3 and 4 October 2019. This edition of TEW was co-organized by the Institute Applied Linguistics of the University of Warsaw. Areta Kempińska, co-owner of our office, represented Bireta at this event.
On the first day of the workshop, we took part in a debate during which representatives of translation agencies discussed good practices in machine translation. On the second day, Areta Kempińska delivered a presentation entitled “Can machines really learn?”. The presentation was prepared together with the head of our Translation Department, Izabela Radomska and her deputy Aleksandra Udziela.
