Today Bireta is coming of age! Our translation agency was established exactly eighteen years ago, on August 19, 2002, in Warsaw by two friends, Areta Kempińska and Joanna Woźniakowska. Initially, Bireta was only its two founders. Currently, it employs over 60 people and the company generates 9 million PLN of turnover per year.
Prior to establishing Bireta, Areta Kempińska and Asia Woźniakowska had been translating professionally. However, they noticed that the quality of specialist translations, which require knowledge of a given industry, usually leaves much to be desired. Therefore, as a philologist and an engineer, they decided to create a company where they would combine their language skills with industry-specific technical knowledge. This is how the BIRETA translation agency was established.
Initially, our headquarters were located in Augustówka, near the Siekierki Combined Heat and Power Plant in Warsaw. After several years and the expansion of the team, we moved to Warsaw’s Kabaty neighborhood. Our first large translation project was an insurance and IT translation for PZU. Since then we have completed over 60 thousand translation projects. As a result, we have gained vast experience in technical and specialist translations. Therefore, for several years now we have been among the top Polish translation companies in the Book of Lists ranking published by the Warsaw Business Journal. Every year we deliver services to over 700 clients from all over the world.
