We are delighted to announce that our translation agency, BIRETA Professional Translations, has just joined ELIA (European Language Industry Association)! Elia is a leading European not-for-profit trade association of language service companies. Its main objective is to accelerate the development of member companies and provide opportunities to grow its members business network, as well as to promote quality and ethical standards for the language industry.
Elia’s activities are based on a number of initiatives, such as:
- industry conferences and meetings, e.g. Networking Days and Together conference;
- the Elia Exchange program, which aims to strengthen relations between language industry stakeholders and the academic institutions
- Elia Engage initiative, which the main goal is to provide an opportunity for language service companies and independent language professionals to come together.
